The People Behind Aqua Om
Aqua Om began as a conversation between two friends. Deepak M Bulchandani and Jigar Rajesh Rajani met as students in Australia and stayed close long after — trading ideas about the business they'd build together back home. That business became Aqua Om: a shrimp trading firm built on one simple conviction — freshness, straight talk and relationships that outlast any single deal.

Deepak set out from Surat — a city that connects Gujarat's coastline to markets across India — to build a firm buyers could call first and trust completely.
With deep roots in the aquaculture trade, Deepak leads strategy, key buyer relationships and farm sourcing. He personally works with pond owners and harvest teams so that every consignment — Vannamei or Black Tiger, live or fresh — meets the standard he set on day one.

Jigar brings the discipline that keeps that promise repeatable. He oversees operations, quality control and buyer coordination — making sure counts, grades and timelines hold from harvest to handover.
The friendship that started in Australia still runs the company: two partners who divide the work but share the standard. Together they serve buyers in ten states and counting — hands-on, responsive and honest about counts, grades and availability.
